What is the Difference Between Prejudice and Discrimination?

What is the Difference Between Prejudice and Discrimination? What is the difference between prejudice and discrimination? And, if you answered discrimination then why are you still reading this article? Well there is a difference, in fact a very important one, and I will go into this subject in much more detail as I explain what is the difference between prejudice and discrimination. The first is ignorance. You may think that it is just ignorance on the part of the person who is ignorant but no. You see, many people believe that prejudice and discrimination occur because one group of people have prejudices against another group. Therefore you see people saying, 'This company does not hire minorities'This store does not sell their products to this group of people'.However, these statements are not true, they do not refer to any group. They only refer to the failure of one group to treat another in the same way that the person would treat them.In fact many people will say that discrimina tion does not exist because it is people who believe that prejudice exists, not these groups. Therefore, if you look at the world you see that when you go shopping in a department store, you will see many black people in front of you and behind you.On the other hand, if you go shopping in the movie theater, you will see many white people in front of you and behind you. If you ask me which is more socially acceptable in the world, discrimination or prejudice?Discrimination is the false belief that the other group should be treated differently than yourself. Prejudice is the conscious belief that the group you are prejudiced against should be treated differently than the group you are prejudiced in. They both happen without your knowledge or consent. Therefore, the question is not whether or not you know what is the difference between prejudice and discrimination. The answer is yes, you do. Now, do you want to make a difference?
